BNP Paribas REIM, which carried out transactions for 4 billion euros in 2022, is reorganizing itself after the departure of Sigrid Duhamel, revealed exclusively by Commercial real estate on December 7th. Benoit de la Boulaye, CEO UK and member of the executive committee of the business line dedicated to the group’s Investment Management activities, has been appointed Global Chief Investment Officer: a role that Sigrid Duhamel has held since 2020.
At the same time, Isabella Chacón Troidl and Vincenzo Nocerino see their responsibilities expand: the former mentioned, formerly CIO Germany, becomes Chief Executive Officer Germany and joins the executive committee of BNP Paribas REIM, like the latter, formerly CIO Italy since 2020.
“These promotions allow us to recognize their skills and confirm our willingness to support the most diverse talents within the company”, underlines Nathalie Charles, Global Head of Investment Management of BNP Paribas Real Estate, who intends to continue the alignment started for several years between countries.
Present within the institution since 2011
In his new role as Global CIO, Benoit de la Boulaye, 39, will lead the investment and asset management teams, “in order to strengthen the ability to deploy the capital raised, the rotation of managed asset portfolios and the implementation of ESG strategy at the asset level”. A graduate of ESCP-EAP, this former student of the University of Wisconsin, USA, and Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, began his career at the Caisse des dépôts where he in transactions and real estate portfolio management, then worked as a strategic consultant at Boston Consulting Group, before joining BNP Paribas REIM in 2011.
Isabella Chacón Troidl, 45, succeeds Claus Thomas. The latter will leave the company on the 2ndAnd quarter of 2023, it is specified in a press release. He maintains his CIO functions in the countries covered by the German teams (Germany, Austria, Netherlands, CEE and Scandinavia). She joined BNP Paribas REIM Germany in 2007 (formerly iii-Investments) and became CIO and member of the board of directors in 2018.
Vincenzo Nocerino, 41, resident in Italy since 2020, was previously Head of Transactions at UBS Real Estate & Private Markets; as well as the company’s business development and fundraising activities in Italy, having developed his experience in transactions particularly at Schroders and AXA IM Alts.
A challenging 2022
BNP Paribas REIM, whose year 2022 was marked by the launch of Pierre Impact — in partnership with Cedrus & Partners —, by the reopening of the capital of SCPI Accès Valeur Pierre, by the extension of the internationalization of the distribution of OPCI BNP Paribas Diversipierre, is development continued of the Healthcare Property Fund Europe (HPF Europe) fund launched in March 2020, which had reached €1 billion under management at the end of 2022, as well as the European Impact Property Fund (EIPF) and the Next Estate vehicles Income Fund III ( NEIF 3).
