The Collectors Exchange is the traditional and annual meeting place for individuals and professionals to hunt, buy, sell and trade.
The exchange of collectors, organized by the philatelic association of Carmaux (APC), will take place this Sunday, January 15, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm, room François-Mitterrand in Carmaux. Over the years, the event has become the main annual unmissable event for collectors from Carmausin, Ségala, Tarn and other departments of Midi-Pyrénées. “As with previous editions, we had to turn down a very large number of exhibitors, commented Gérard Rauzy, president of the association and hub of the event, the Mitterrand room can only accommodate 45 stands. We are victims of the success of our bag collectors”.
Visitors will be spoiled for choice among around forty stands displaying stamps, postcards, old newspapers, coins, toy cars, records, books, toys, etc. The curious will also be able to unearth unusual, unpublished and rare collectibles. You can also have your stamp collection appraised at the fair market value and, why not, sell it or even exchange the pieces you own in duplicate. The Collectors Exchange will see exhibitors offer to swap or sell diversified items. The History and Heritage Association of Carmausin (HPC) will be present with a stand where it will be possible to obtain the association’s notebooks.
As in previous editions, the Restoration and Protection of Heritage association, with its exhibition of models, will be one of the key events of the day. There will also be an exhibition of paintings and collage art, featuring local artists. Hikers, amateurs or knowledgeable collectors will have plenty of time to search, meet the authors of Carmausin and Ségala and get their books. If you need information, the stand of the Carmausine philatelic association will try to answer all your questions. The tireless and dedicated Gérard Rauzy and his colleagues at the APC will be at your disposal.
