Job Description
Under the responsibility of the Director, Communications and Marketing, the consultant coordinates the development of the annual communication plan as well as the department’s various action plans and ensures the planning and implementation of the resulting strategies and tactics. The incumbent also oversees the planning and implementation of various communications and marketing related projects. You will play an advisory role with members of management and various internal teams. The incumbent is invited to work closely with department management to support projects and initiatives related to marketing and independent revenue development.

The consultant carries out all communication activities and collaborates in the implementation of marketing activities and digital strategies. As a senior writer for the organization, he oversees content strategy planning. He sees developing communication and marketing materials by working as a designer or producer. In addition, the consultant develops and implements a plan for traditional and digital media relations. In collaboration with Human Resources, the consultant develops and implements internal communication strategies. Finally, he collaborates on the budget process and manages the department’s budget.

Required profile
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication or a related field and have five to eight years of experience in a similar position. A combination of training and equivalent experience may be considered. Two or more years of experience in a communications agency is an asset.

The candidate has good judgment and analytical skills, and must demonstrate rigor and creativity, demonstrating the ability to lead several projects at the same time as well as flexibility to work to tight deadlines. Must have excellent command of French (spoken and written), good knowledge of English (spoken and written) as well as strong writing skills. The candidate must have a good knowledge of both traditional (print, video, presentation, advertising, etc.) and digital (web, social, podcasts, blogging, group emails, etc.) The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of graphic design, visual and audio production tools, digital and web performance analysis tools is an added advantage. Knowledge of the high-level sporting context, Quebec and Canadian sports regulations is also an advantage.
