ESSEC Africa will soon launch its new executive certificate “21st Century Managerial Skills”. This certification program aims to meet the needs of companies today challenged by agility and performance requirements to which managerial action must provide an answer. This training was designed in collaboration with global publisher of psychometric solutions Pearson Talent Lens.
This training is based on the recognized academic quality of the ESSEC Business School programs and on the scientific and pedagogical rigor consecrated by its speakers. It also draws on the unique know-how and innovative methodology in the areas of skills assessment provided by Pearson Talent Lens. Pearson Talent Lens will provide students with its internationally renowned psychometric testing and high-quality educational content, in order to best support them throughout their journey.
This certification training was initiated on the basis of the observation that managerial practice now needs to be reinvented due to the technological innovations taking place and the announced obsolescence of the professions. In fact, future generations of managers will have to possess new skills that will essentially require empathy and leadership. However, these qualities will ultimately be the real catalysts for the implementation of an essentially cooperative, creative and mobilizing management practice.
On this basis, executives and other business managers will, through this Executive Certificate, identify five “Emerging Competences” essential to management practice: the ability to develop benevolent cooperation, build effective collaboration in the digital age, strengthen critical thinking skills, creativity skills, and ultimately the implementation of engaging motivational leadership.
These skills will be grasped in their essential dimensions. Once these have been understood in their conceptual scope and evaluated with the participants, they will be studied with a view to effective practice by the Manager. Managers will thus be able to refine their interventions, but will also be able to identify these same qualities in their employees to confirm their talents in this area.
The proposed course will be structured in ten days of alternating training. The aim will be to establish among the participants a real knowledge and appropriation of the distinctive skills for a renewed practice of managerial exercise within companies and organizations attentive to competitiveness and performance.
Program participants will be fully immersed in the ESSEC Business School learning ecosystem. They will benefit from the activities of partner professorships, all the educational resources of ESSEC Business School and the expertise of Pearson Talent Lens in terms of psychometric analysis. Renowned professors and international experts will be involved. Participants will also be offered follow-up in terms of evaluating the results.
True to its strategy of excellence and pursuit of high quality partnerships, ESSEC Africa’s Executive Education is committed through this program to support, strengthen and develop the managerial skills of African decision makers.
