While there are several months left before its presentation, the iPhone 15 has already revealed many of its secrets through various leaks. So here’s everything we think we know about Apple’s next smartphone.
A new version
Also this year, Apple should offer us 4 versions of iPhone 15but there may be a change in the appointment.
- We would thus find the great bipartition between standard and ultra high-end models, with the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus And iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Maxunless the latter has a new name.
- Apple is said to be proposing a new name for its highest-end model. Indeed, the latter could inherit the same nomenclature as the new connected watch model, theApple Watch Ultraand would therefore be called theiPhone 15 Ultra.
Proceeding in this way, the Cupertino company would make sure widening the gap between standard, premium and ultra-premium models. A strategy already launched last year since the iPhone 14 Pro Max benefited from a better photographic module with higher magnification at the telephoto end and better stabilization for the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle sensor.
Prices on the rise
This desire to widen the gap would also be reflected in the price.
- The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone Ultra are said to benefita processor engraved in 3 nm. A more expensive engraving process which would offer the main benefit to improve autonomy and which would be passed on to the price of the devices.
For the moment it is not yet known how much the top-of-the-range models would increase. Other changes and improvements made may also increase the rating.
The iPhone 15, the first to benefit from a USB-C port?
Apple intends to comply with European Union requirements by replacing its Lightning port with the “universal” port chosen by the EU. The company has confirmed thisbut this revolution could start as early as this year.
- The bowels of the iPhone would therefore need to be reviewed, both on standard and premium models, so as to add work to the engineers.
- This change, which could be exclusive to models intended for the European market, could therefore have an impact their price.
- Unless Apple scoffs at the EU and delivers a completely portless smartphone.
Disappearance of pimples
A project that would also imply the absence of buttons, to have a 100% waterproof device.. An aspect that could materialize this year.
- Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo he thinks that at least one version of the iPhone 15 would be devoid of physical buttons.
- They would be replaced by tactile spaces associated with tactile feedback.
To stay on the design, there is also talk that Apple will integrate titanium into the iPhone Ultra, in order to make it more resistant, which, once again, would be felt in terms of price.
Dynamic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus
The notch was revised and corrected last year iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max it would make its debut on standard models this year.
- Apple, apparently, has managed to get this notch “pill” design accepted, thanks to its Dynamic Island software layer which exploits this new format particularly well and would therefore like to distribute it across the entire range.
Finally, as regards the characteristics of the phones, not much is known, except that they will certainly be improved.
- The iPhone 15 Pro and Ultra would therefore benefit from a new generation processor, namely an A17 Bionic engraved in 3nm, while the 15 and 15 Plus models would ship last year’s version, the A16 Bionic.
- Even the photographic part would be improved, through a periscope photographic sensor, especially for the premium models once again.
We will obviously have to wait for September to discover the official characteristics of the iPhone 15. In the meantime, new leaks and rumors should still reach us.
