electronic health card
comes in the form of a mobile application known as ”
apCV
“. Contains user data, National Health Identification Number, and data for tracking card usage.
The application allows policyholders to consult receipts for health expenses directly on their mobile phone. You can download them automatically, up to seven days after the consultation. They are therefore visible without time limits. “apCV” integrates the identification data of the insured and the beneficiaries already present in the classic vital card with the addition of the national health identity.
It also provides access to health insurance services and features. Eventually the user can delegate the use of his vital card to a trusted person for a specific period of time.
What about the hardware card?
According to the National Commission for Computing and Liberties (CNIL) the hardware card can still be used. But beneficiaries can hold only one vital card in each of the two forms available.
The full process can be found on the site of health insurance.
