A full day would not be enough for an archivist to list all the work carried out on the Quai de la Bourse… After the last works that began in the summer of 2022, the signal pins blocking the right-hand lane were installed in December.
Prevent new asphalt potholes
Information taken from the Métropole Rouen Normandie, which manages the road system, these plots are good omens of new works. “A frost barrier was put in place in the slow lane in the December cold spell to prevent potholes from forming when temperatures rose during the end of year celebrations, so the road companies were closed.”we are told. Periodic monitoring is carried out on the state of the roadway, with a bailiff’s report on developments. The companies and the project manager have been contacted […] to schedule the resumption of work. Work will be able to resume in the spring, when the weather conditions allow the asphalt to hold better. Of course, if the damage became dangerous, the construction sites would have advanced. »
After the failures of Construction site 2021which aimed precisely to overcome the problems caused by the failure of the works in 2014, new works were started in the summer of 2022 after the road is crooked. This new work announced in the spring of 2023 will aim to resume what had not yet been achieved last September.
