The council of the Coénove association, which brings together the major players in energy efficiency in buildings, today appointed Jean-Charles Colas-Roy as vice-president. For the association, this appointment is part of its strategy of “strengthening governance” and mobilizing in favor of a plural and diversified energy mix “where gas energy, ultimately renewable, must play its full role in achieving carbon neutrality in construction. »
Engineer with a double degree from the Polytechnic University of Grenoble (Phelma 2002 then Ense 2003), Jean-Charles Colas-Roy has great experience. In 2004, he co-founded the company H3C-energies which supports its customers in optimizing their energy consumption. At the same time, he became involved in politics by becoming a municipal councilor in the commune of Saint-Martin-d’Hères in 2016.
The support of Emmanuel Macron
In 2017 he was then elected deputy for the 2nd constituency of Isère. In the National Assembly, he served on the committee for sustainable development and regional planning. Specialist in energy transition, he holds various positions: co-president of the study group “Green energies”; Vice-President of the study group “The economic challenges of the industrial energy sector”; Whip (Coordinator) of the LREM deputies of the DDAT Commission.
Subsequently, as part of Emmanuel Macron’s presidential campaign, he was appointed in 2022 as a programmatic relay of “ecological transition” for the presidential candidate. Finally, from 2017 to 2022, Jean-Charles Colas-Roy was a member of the board of directors of the Agency for the ecological transition: Ademe.
Bernard Aulagne, president of Coénove: “We are happy and proud to welcome Jean-Charles Colas-Roy as vice president of the Coénove association. Its longstanding commitment to issues related to the environment and energy constitutes an undeniable added value for Coénove in order to further consolidate our skills and continue our actions in favor of the recognition of renewable gas in buildings as a response to issues of national sovereignty, flexibility of the electricity system and purchasing power. »
“I am very honored to join the Coénove association and to work for energy efficiency in buildings. By relying on lower consumption, the complementarity of energies and increasingly renewable gas, we will be able to accelerate decarbonisation and improve the resilience of our French and European energy system”, adds Jean-Charles Colas-Roy.
