Born in 1969, Laurent Guillot, a French citizen, graduated from the École Polytechnique and the École des Ponts Paris Tech and holds a degree in macroeconomics from the University of Paris I. He began his career at the Ministry of Finance in 1996.
He began his career at the French Ministry of Finance in 1996, first as Head of the Energy Unit in the Direction de la Prévision, then as Head of the Central Africa Unit in the International Division of the Treasury Directorate. In 1999, he was appointed technical adviser to the Minister of Equipment, Transport and Housing, first for maritime matters, then for budgetary, financial and industrial matters.
He joined Compagnie de Saint-Gobain in 2002 as director of planning. In 2004 he was appointed Director of Construction Abrasives and the following year Director of Performance Refractory Materials and Diesel Particulate Filters. In 2007 he was appointed General Delegate for Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
Laurent Guillot held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Saint-Gobain from 2009 to the end of 2015.
In 2016, he was named vice president of the High Performance Materials division. The following year, he became Deputy CEO of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain with responsibility for the High Performance Materials business, with direct supervision of the Performance Plastics business.
On 1 January 2019, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain in charge of High Performance Solutions and is also responsible for information systems.

Laurent Guillot has been appointed CEO of Orpea July 1, 2022.
On October 10, he established the new Executive Committee of the ORPEA Group, which will have the task of transforming and managing the strategic plan to ensure the success of the reconstruction of the Group.
