Sharp decline in registrations of light commercial vehicles and diesel
The report published by the Arval Mobility Observatory is formal: “ 2022 is a year to forget for light commercial vehicleswhose registrations record a double-digit drop (- 20.36 % to 256 733 unit). HP is also down, but more limited at 450 951 unit (- 6.74 %) ».
In terms of distribution of fleet registrations by energy type, last year “ will go down in the annals of the corporate market as the year of the real take-off of electrified vehicles »try it the energy transition parks it’s well underway.
The published data indicates that the registrations of vehicles 100 % electric increased by 24.86% to 53,574 units. Those of hybrid vehicles increased by 3.69% to 143,143 units. “ A result to be credited, however, to non-rechargeable hybrids : + 18.48 % to 83 793 unit », it’s specified. The organization also makes it known “ the explosion (in percentage) of the registrations of vehicles powered by E85 superethanol : + 580 % at 3 026 units “.
Plug-in hybrids that are victims of their misuse
Not surprisingly, diesel is the victim of a deep disenchantment. Diesel fleet entry decreased by 25.23% to 341,288 units. Gasoline vehicles show a small decline of about 2.7% to 155,558 units.

On the other hand, – and this is quite a surprise -, plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) they no longer seem to appeal to fleets. Their registrations drop for the first time (-11.85%) to 59,350 units. Their improper use by employees (infrequent electric recharges leading to an increase in consumption) seems to have prevailed over their presence in the car policiesalthough new models have appeared on the market.
