The Grande École program is the flagship course of business schools. Delivered in three years, at post-preparatory business schools, and five years, at post-baccalaureate institutions, this program offers a bac+5 degree that demonstrates master’s degree from state-recognized business schools. But which are the most selective on Parcoursup? Which training is more difficult to access? Business Cool has compiled this ranking to help you see things more clearly!

Methodology to classify the most selective PGE on Parcoursup
The ranking of the most selective EMPs on Parcoursup it is based on 2022 data retrieved from the guidance platform. We only analyzed information related to the Grande École program offered over 5 years by business schools that are members of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. Therefore, we have limited our ranking to these establishments: EBS Paris, EDC Paris, EMLV, EM Normandie, ESCE, ESDES, ESSCA, Excelia, ICD, IÉSEG, IPAG, ISG, ISTEC and PSB.
For each of the schools in this list, we have isolated campuses when the business school has several campuses in France or abroad. We have also distinguished the different possible paths, as these do not show the same access rate.
Before you start reading the list of the most selective PGEs on Parcoursup, it is important to understand how the structures have been classified. We have organized the training from the lowest access rate to the highest access rate. The access fee, as described by Parcoursup, is ” the percentage of candidates for a course who, in the main phase, have obtained a position in the ranking list which allows them to receive a proposal for admission to that course. An access rate of 100% means that all candidates who wanted to access this training have received an admission proposal for the main phase. »
Disclaimer: The formations that have not made public their access rate to the public are still present in the ranking, at the bottom of the ranking. When the information is not specified, the PGE is therefore a classic program given in French and does not show any specialty.

Parcoursup 2023: analysis of the list of the most selective PGEs
The first element that can be observed from this ranking of the most selective PGEs on Parcoursup is that the most difficult courses to access are often those that offer a specialization. Bilingual or English courses are often more selective, as these courses require a very high level of language. Other specializations, such as those offered in Luxury or Engineering, also offer significantly fewer slots. So the competition is tougher there.
The number of places offered in these PGEs is also another criterion of selectivity which allows some business schools to climb the ranks. In fact, some establishments open up to 1,000 seats in the first year for their Grande École program.
However, before going to a training course that you have found on Parcoursup, it should be noted that all PGEs have an entrance exam which consists either of written tests or of a suitability file. You will then have to carry out a motivational interview which aims to better understand your profile and your adequacy with the school’s values.
Furthermore, while this ranking of the most selective PGEs in 2023 takes a look at the programs that are most difficult to access, it does not call into question the quality of the lessons. Indeed, it is not because a training course is less selective that it is of lower quality.
