Apple wants to convince of its progress in terms of privacy protection during teaching. What’s better than using an actor from his hit show Ted Lasso to do it?
On the occasion of the European Data Protection Day, also called Private day, which will be held this year on Saturday 28 January, Apple is rolling up its sleeves for this topic so important in its strategy. The brand has decided to found ” new resources for education and awareness“.
Very concretely, two initiatives were presented. The first is a film whose goal is obviously to raise awareness on a large scale. A day in the life of an average person’s data which could be translated as A day in the life of the average person’s data, features Nick Mohammed, star of the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, where he plays Nathan Shelley.

The film wants to prove it “Even if actors mishandle their data, they can count on Apple to keep it safe. »Indeed, we can see the actor knowing the existence of four privacy settings of the iPhone in an amusing way.
Privacy Today Sessions
From January 28, the official date of Private day, Apple Stores will host sessions titled “Manage Privacy on Your iPhone.” The goal is simple: to provide “an overview of security features such as privacy protection in Mail, security control, location services and identification keys,” explains Apple. “Participants in this session will learn how to customize each of these features based on their privacy preferences. »

These sessions will take place in all Apple Stores in France. These are free 30-minute sessions by reservation. To register go to the page apple.co/skills-privacy.
In order to highlight its privacy efforts, Apple is updating his page dedicated to the topic. The project is written in black and white: convince users and future buyers that“Apple products and features are built on advanced privacy technologies designed to minimize the amount of personal information that is accessible”.
